PARAMAHANSA YOGANANDA once wrote a poem called, "THE NOBLE NEW" in which he talked about the kinds of people who go out of their way to do noble things....In his poem on line six he says:"...Claim him your own who's everywhere disclaimed" THE FULL POEM CAN BE FOUND ON MY PAGE:"IN SYNCH WITH OTHER POETS">>>>[Incidentally, in 1952, Paramahansa passed away ~ but left his body "incorrupt" and after 20 days of investigation by medical doctors ~ he was interred. MAYBE HE HAD A 'HOTLINE' TO GOD but if you take things like this seriously, you can find the full story in his book:THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF A YOGI....so maybe his words should also be taken seriously!] BELOW ARE EXAMPLES OF PEOPLE WHO DID TAKE HIS WORDS SERIOUSLY! |

KIDS WITH DISABILITIES: [SOURCE] USA WEEKEND~April 8th, 2001 As a former coach, it is my honor to give space in this site to any coach ~ especially ~ who spends his/her life trying to help kids have a better life.... In an article entitled: "Be part of something wonderful" ~~ Dori Eber, coach of the Rockland County (N.Y.) Challenger League & last year's recipient of a MOST CARING COACH AWARD seems to be a good candidate for what Paramahansa penned in his poem.... Eber coaches about 150 disabled kids. (Her son, Josh, 16 with Down's syndrome, could never play baseball.) BUT JOSH WAS ONLY A bud WHO NEEDED THE RIGHT FERTILIZER (mom) to BLOSSOM into a baseball player: ALL HE NEEDED WAS THE RIGHT ENVIRONMENT OF "OTHER BUDS" ~~~~ JUST LIKE HIM!!! Of course ~ the 'fertilizing agent' when she saw her son do well playing baseball now ~ THANKS TO HER EFFORTS & VISION ~ well, as Dori put it: "it was better than a dream come true." I wonder if this is what Louis Armstrong was thinking of when he song his song: IT'S A WONDERFUL WORLD.......[?] TO ADD ANYTHING ELSE TO THIS HEARTWARMING STORY WOULD BE SUPERFLUOUS. [[OH YES, I EVEN 'SOB' AT HAPPY STORIES TOO]] |
